Rescue African Children consists of two components, one in Uganda and one in the United States.
REACH Africa was created by Pastor Fred Tumwebaze and is a registered nonprofit Ugandan organization (ID No. 120480). The REACH office oversees Omega Christian School, post-Omega education opportunities, community support, and pastoral/church support. REACH USA is a ministry of Upper Room Community Church (UR) located in Auburn California. UR is an IRS 501(c)(3) charitable organization so contributions to REACH USA are tax-deductible. The all-volunteer staff handle aspects of administration including:
- Donation collections
- Assignment of sponsorship children
- Creation and distribution of the newsletter
- Provide annual donor statements
To assist with various administrative expenses, $1 from every monthly sponsorship is kept by REACH USA. The remaining funds are sent to REACH Africa. Please email any questions to ken@rescueafricanchildren.org
